A stakeout conversation about names.
When Starsky was first back on duty after being shot all he could do was work behind a desk. Dobey, seeing his sergeant’s anguish, assigned him to work with the police photographers. Sorting through the mug shots and crime scene photos was not a very interesting activity for someone like Starsky, but he decided to take advantage of this opportunity to catch up with the novelties on the photography market.

"No Hope For Butch" was an impromptu performance of the world-famous repertory theatre group known as "Ba-a-a-a-d SH Theatre," which has been holding performances at SHareCons since bad SH stories have been written. In other words, a very long time. The performance was held at SHareCon 2000 before an appreciative audience, which was positively struck dumb by its wit and charm. And weirdness. The "script" was written in a feverish burst of creativity right at the con. Which shows. During the performance the "story" was read by the Narrator (which was good since no one had any time for rehearsals) in an extremely dramatic and hilarious manner, and acted out by SHareCon members who had no lines, no props (except for Det. Sally Jo's "headlights"), and no shame. They did, however, have wigs, which didn't fit, and appropriate looking leather jackets made of plastic. And, of course, raw talent and more brass than a statue in the park.
The play performated at SHareCon 2000 and published in the SHareCon 2002 Zine.
His long fingers reached under her chin and lifted her face. “Don’t settle for a partial love, no matter what anyone else thinks. A love with no limits is out there somewhere waiting for you. You just might find it in an unexpected place.”
Shutting out Starsky never ends well.
A Bloodbath story. Missing scenes and other weird things.

Episode/Event Horizon: Starsky’s Lady – 3 months following the episode tag
Author's Notes: Thank you to Sue Beck and her comments on the Me&Thee list. I asked a question there - why did Terri leave Ollie to Hutch? Sue’s response was about symbolism and how we cannot gift someone with something they already have.
I wrote this story on the heels of a period of tremendous grief and loss in my own life. In this little tale, I tried to give the boys the optimistic ending I myself had wished for.
Hutch remembers what he lost, and Starsky cleans up.
"some dark night when you're all alone ...
Only it's not dark and I'm not alone. Hutch, in the doorway, the light in a hazy moonglow around his hair..."
