Nice job, Dawn! Confidently written, infused with warm naturalness from the guys, and the new touches you brought in were great--my favorite being the moon and star tattoos and how they nestled together. That's my kind of imagery!
And kudos to Duluthgirl for the lovely cover.
Thanks, Keri. I had fun with this one--I'd always wanted to fix what I thought were annoying discrepancies, plus with tattoos as a major bit of evidence, it worked so well in the present age.
Excellent job at modernizing this S&H episode, Dawn! I loved the way you interwove the boys' private relationship and feelings in with their working partnership and how this case hit close to home for the both of them for that reason in particular. And DG, your lovely artwork was like delicious topping on DW's tasty dessert. Bravo, ladies!!
You make me smile. Thank you so much for reading--modernizing TL gave me a great chance to change what had always bugged me: that they carry that silver toe piece around with them through the whole ep.
"He and Hutch had gotten tattoos from the talented artist about a year ago. Starsky had a star on his left flank, Hutch a moon on his right. When they lay pressed together in bed, the celestial bodies aligned" - This is what I liked the most. Fits perfectly, Dawn, and a really clever and beautiful thought!
And Duluth- Beautiful Artwork, as usual! :)
Aww, thanks. I do have a kink for tattoos. I had to put that in.
I really enjoyed this retelling of Texas Longhorn! Well done, Dawn. Duluth, beautiful art. The squash blossom was such a nice touch. Thanks!
Thanks, sweetie. You're always so good at giving feedback, especially since you've read it before. ;-)
