I read this the first time late last year (2014) but I was so new to fandom and this site, I couldn't think of anything 'pithy' to say in a review. Also, I was brand new to SH slash and not really comfortable with it yet. Now, more than a year later, I'm not only comfortable with the viewpoint, it's all I write myself (mostly on the 911 lj site). This story grabbed me the first time and, this time, it wouldn't let go!!! It has all the atmosphere and details of 'history,' all the sweet characterization we love so much in The Boys, all the love and angst and 'happy endings' I, personally, need in an SH story. And what a wonderful collaboration of words and art! THANK YOU to all who brought this story to life! Pat

Author's Response:

Well, thank you! I'm so glad you're part of the fandom!

I have not finished the story yet but I already love the concept... am a big fan of the Outlander series as well. Can't wait to see what happens!!

Author's Response:

I'm late, but thank you!

Wow!  This is a fabulous, well written storyline.  I never would've come up with such a unique AU.  Not only is it AU (which I love), but the author maintains the characterizations of the core group of players.

There is not enough superlatives for flowing-haired Hutch in Scottish garb!  Perhaps we can convince Marion to make a full length portrait?  Hee hee

I found this story a wonderful, wonderful read! It is well constructed, well formulated, has a great pace, and enough meat on the bones to give such a vivid flavor of the guys and the situations. It is also mystical and clever...with a lovely ending! :-)

I enjoyed it so much, both on the first read and then on the second...the second is where I slowed down to savor and dwell over favorite parts - the picture, Hutch's arrival in the unusual place/time, their characters. You presented them beautifully together.

The art is exquisite, I did not want to stop looking at the portrait.

Thank you for creating such a satisfying story and art (thank you, enednoviel) to share with us!

Author's Response:

ah, Angel! Thank you so much! So glad you enjoyed it both times! :D

That was quite interesting. I love how you melded the Starskys and worked out how Hutch could love both men. Nice work here, intriguing premise and a great ending.

Author's Response:

Thanks! :)
